Academic Health Department
As an Academic Health Department (AHD), the Cabarrus Health Alliance is committed to public health workforce development and cross sector collaborations between academia and practice. An AHD designation is applied to health departments that have an established formal or informal arrangement with an academic institution(s) which provide mutual benefits in the form of practice-based learning, research, teaching, or service (Erwin and Keck, 2014).
CHA’s AHD efforts include:
