About the Learning Collaborative

The Learning Collaborative (LC) brings together a network of youth-serving stakeholders across Rowan and Cabarrus counties. Through this collaboration, the LC facilitates the exchange of cross-sector knowledge, experience, and resources to promote the health and well-being of adolescents, their families, and communities. By leveraging the systems that influence adolescent health, the LC aims to drive sustainable improvements across both counties.

Goals of the Learning Collaborative

The LC creates an Action Plan based on themes uncovered which includes specific goals, objectives, and performance measures for improving overall adolescent health. The LC creates increased knowledge, positive attitudes towards adolescent health, and a significant shift in the culture of collaboration impacting systems that reach the entire adolescent population of both counties.

Objectives:

Increase knowledge, skills, and capacity to address adolescent health trends
Increase awareness and promotion of adolescent-friendly services in the community
LC members will serve as stakeholders in the development, dissemination, and evaluation of the Adolescent Pulse Assessment.

Adolescent Pulse Assessment:

The Adolescent Pulse Assessment is a comprehensive, annual assessment to gain awareness and knowledge of community and adolescent needs. The Learning Collaborative will assist the Elevate Program at Cabarrus Health Alliance in understanding the needs and resources of adolescents and ensuring efforts are targeting the areas of greatest need. The Learning Collaborative will serve as stakeholders in the development, dissemination, and evaluation of the results.
