Welcome to the TRAIL College Mentor Website. From this page, you will be able to access the most current schedules for both Kannapolis Middle School (KMS) and AL Brown High School (ALBHS). If you need to find coverage for your scheduled times, please contact the other College Mentors via the Contact Information password protected document.
You may also access the TRAIL curriculum for 7th, 8th, and 9th grade with your password.
In the event that you are not able to teach your scheduled class, please contact both the school and TRAIL staff immediately.

What is the TRAIL College Mentor program?
The TRAIL College Mentors Program allows college students to gain experience while serving as role models and educators to 7th–9th grade students during sexual health and relationship classes. College mentors assist the classroom teacher in delivering a sexual education curriculum, which is designed to engage students in honest, open, fact–based communication about abstinence, relationships, sexually transmitted diseases, puberty, and reproduction. Mentors help teach weekly in–school classes at Kannapolis Middle School and A.L. Brown High School located in Kannapolis, North Carolina.
As a mentor you will have the opportunity to help better the lives of many 7th–9th grade youth! Use your skills, talents, and time to help others.
This is a wonderful opportunity to build experience for your resume in the area of education, communication, health, community involvement, and working with youth.

Learn how to improve your communication and leadership skills.
Not only will you make a positive impact on those you mentor, we guarantee you will also be positively impacted by your work with TRAIL.
If selected, you will earn points for your participation, which are awarded in the form of $15 per hour of class delivery. You will also receive a $100 gift card for completing a two–day training. Mentors can teach classes Monday–Friday in the morning or the afternoon. We work with your schedule!
