Re: Horse tests positive for West Nile virus

This is to inform you that a horse has been confirmed positive for West Nile virus in the Old Airport Road vicinity of Cabarrus County. Please be aware that the residents in the area near the positive case are being issued Public Health notices. All horse owners are being encouraged to vaccinate against WNV and EEE. Further monitoring of the area will continue.
