The Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program helps to insure that children less than six years old are safe from lead-based paint hazards.  Along with the Regional Environmental Health Specialist, lead inspections can be performed to try and determine the source of a child’s lead poisoning, when a child’s blood lead level has exceeded the acceptable limits.
