WHAT IT IS:
This federally funded program assists women and men in understanding human reproduction and planning pregnancies.

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: The purpose of this program is to offer education, medical evaluation, contraceptive methods, and/or referral services.

WHO MAY RECEIVE THIS SERVICE: Any person requesting services. Medicaid, various insurance plans, sliding fee scale based on financial eligibility and fee for service are accepted for visits.

HOW THIS PROGRAM IS CARRIED OUT: By appointment at the Kannapolis site. Physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, nutritionists, social workers, and laboratory staff provide services in a team approach. Interpreter services are available.

HOW THE COMMUNITY BENEFITS: By providing community and individual education as well as medical evaluation and supervision of contraceptive methods, this services assists people in planning their families.  Call 704-920-1205 for more information.
