PROGRAM:
CHILD HEALTH/PEDIATRIC CLINIC

WHAT IT IS: This program provides well-child exams as well as sick care for children.

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: The purpose of this program is to promote and maintain health; detect health problems in children before they become long term, costly problems; and treat illnesses in children.

WHO MAY RECEIVE THIS SERVICE: Any child from birth to age 21. Medicaid, North Carolina Health Choice for Children, various insurance plans, and sliding fee scale based on financial eligibility are accepted for well visits. Medicaid, Carolina Health Choice for Children, various insurance plans, or fee for service is used for sick care. 

HOW THIS PROGRAM IS CARRIED OUT: By appointment at the Kannapolis site. Physicians, nurses, nutritionists, social workers work together to assess and treat children’s health conditions. 

HOW THE COMMUNITY BENEFITS: Child Health Services help to assure that each child in the community has a primary health care provider. Call 704-920-1205 for more information.
