What is home health care: Bayada Nurses provides skilled nursing care, physical therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, medical social services, personal care services and nutritional counseling in the patient's home. Services are provided for a short period of time, such as after surgery, or during a challenging health crisis.

Commitment to excellence: Bayada Nurses' hiring standards exceed industry norms. All staff goes through a criminal background investigation and in-depth reference checks. There are comprehensive training requirements and skills assessments required for all nurses. All staff members are experienced and fully insured. In addition, a registered nurse supervises all levels of care.

Bayada Nurses is CHAP accredited and state licensed.

Who may receive home health services: The service is available to residents of Cabarrus, Stanly, and Rowan counties as well as northern Mecklenburg County. All services are provided under the orders of the patient's physician.

How this program is carried out: Patients can be referred by the individual, family, friend, or physician. A registered nurse makes an evaluation visit to assess the patient and works with the physician to develop a plan of care specific for the individual patient.

How the community benefits: People are able to recover from illnesses and surgeries in their own home. In many instances home health can reduce hospital re-admissions and prevent nursing home placement.
