Building A Better Cabarrus County
Healthy
Cabarrus
is a community health initiative with the mission of uniting and
mobilizing community partners to identify and address health needs.
More than thirty-five community partners comprise the advisory board
and more than seventy-five partners participate in the collaborative
work of the partnership.
Healthy Cabarrus
is
a Certified Healthy Carolinians
partnership, certified by the North Carolina Governor’s Task Force for
Healthy Carolinians. The partnership was established in 1998 through
joint efforts of CMC-NorthEast and Cabarrus Health Alliance.
Funding
sources include: Cabarrus Health Alliance, CMC-NorthEast, the Statewide
Health Promotion Program, the Kate B. Reynolds Charitable Trust, the NC
Legislature, and other grant funds/donations.

Healthy Cabarrus News! Healthy NC 2020 Healthy NC 2020 is a collaborative effort of the NCIOM, North Carolina Division of Public Health, Office of Healthy Carolinians and Health Education, and State Center for Health Statistics to develop the state’s 2020 health objectives for the Governor’s Task Force for Healthy Carolinians. Over the course of the next decade, these objectives and targets will help drive state and local-level activities to improve population health. Progress toward reaching the targets will be assessed and published annually by the North Carolina Division of Public Health and State Center for Health Statistics.
