Healthy
Cabarrus
Dental Task Force
Access to dental care is a significant need in Cabarrus County, particularly for
low-income uninsured residents. Healthy Cabarrus coordinates the efforts of a
Dental Task Force to research dental health needs, recommend and participate in
strategies to improve access to care, and engage the dental community in
addressing dental care needs. The goal is to assure that all residents have
access to routine, comprehensive, and affordable dental services.
Multi-level community efforts
have resulted in improvements in oral health status, increases in capacity to
provide services, and increases in volunteer and community outreach efforts.
Community collaborations and success in
addressing this issue can be accessed under the “Projects and Collaborations”
tab.
